MotorStorm™ was a game released by evolution studios in 2006 for the launch of the playstation3. My main job as a junior graphic designer was to create 2d assets for use in-game. This included such things as car liveries, track logos and fake advertisement hoardings.
Post release I started to help out with video production as well as marketing point of sale and all assets for the new UI updates.
My work on MotorStorm Pacific Rift, the sequel to the 2006 original was mainly in the designing and implementing of the in-game UI. Everything from track logos and menu art, to UX flow and usability testing.
Once the game was released it evolved into a more marketing role, suppling point of sale artwork, trailers and anything else needed.
Work on MSA was very much split in 2, i was part of the initial team on pre-production. Deciding how to take this off-road series into the city. This was mainly style frames and UI exploration.
I then only really came back to the project at the time of release and helped with trailer work and marketing materials.
